Our Story
Double J Herd Hotshot LLC

At Double J Herd Hotshot LLC, our mission is simple: to build a lasting legacy rooted in faith, family, and hard work.
We are Jeffrey and Bliss Jones, founders and operators of this family-owned and operated business. Our journey into entrepreneurship wasn’t just a career change—it was a calling. After decades of dedicating time and talent to building someone else’s dream, we decided it was time to build our own.
The name Double J Herd tells our story. Double J honors five generations of men in Jeffrey’s family who all share the initials J.J.—a testament to strong values and enduring work ethic. Herd lovingly represents our greatest pride: our six children, ranging from toddlers to young adults. As a homeschooling family, we’ve built our business around the rhythms of our home, our faith, and our future.
Jeffrey brings over 22 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, having served as a roustabout crew lead, CDL driver, pumper, and compressor mechanic. His deep mechanical expertise allows us to handle most equipment issues on the road, minimizing delays and maximizing reliability—an invaluable asset in the hotshot industry. On the other side of that coin, Bliss has an extensive education in business management and human resources.
With Bliss overseeing dispatch and operations from home, and Jeffrey handling freight with precision and care, we’ve created a company that blends professional service with personal integrity.

Shippers
We offer a wide range of trucking services including local and long-distance transportation, and oversized load transport. We specialize in flatbed and step deck loads but also offer light freight options as well. Whatever your shipping and logistic needs are, we have a solution for you.
